A study of the production and operations management (POM) function to ensure total organizational quality in the use of resources to provide goods and services. Topics include the evolution of POM into a function for global competitiveness, the analytical techniques of decision theory and forecasting, designing production systems, operating production systems, and Total Quality Management (TQM) within organizations. Restricted to School of Business majors. Others may seek permission from the School of Business. Offered every year.
