SPAN 417 - Phonology and Dialectology

This course presents an introduction to Spanish phonetics and phonology. It focuses on the Spanish sound system and its relation to its orthography. It studies different varieties of spoken Spanish and develops awareness of factors that contribute to dialect variation. Offered fall, even years.

Prerequisite(s): SPAN 301 . Completion of SPAN 323  is strongly recommended.
