FNCE 252 - Professional Equity Research Management

An examination of the role and responsibility of an equity research manager. Participation in Geneseo’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) as a Sector Research Manager and active participation in the SMIF’s regular meetings are required component of the course. Readings emphasize the allocation of scarce resources among competing opportunities. The writing component of this course includes the requirement that a student provide critical response to research reports prepared by students and outside professionals working in her, his, or their SMIF sector.
