GEOG 355 - Experimental Cartography 2020-2021 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 3 Non-Lecture: 0 This course will focus on the collection and manipulation of data used in Geography. Students will collect data, then apply both statistical and cartographic tools to make sense of the data. Data collection will embrace different types of geography, both physical and human. For example, students might collect soils or climate data, them manipulate them to make a map of the phenomenon; or students might manipulate census data to make statistical statements about a variable and then make maps of it.
Prerequisite(s): GEOG 291 . Offered: Not on a regular basis Restricted to: Geography majors
