This course is designed to consider how literacies are changing due to continually emerging digital media and technologies. These cultural and technological shifts impact literacy teaching and learning at all levels. Students will develop an understanding of the underlying theories and pedagogy associated with integrating digital literacy practices and multimodal materials, supporting 21st-century literacy skills and standards. They will also explore various applications and approaches to using progressing technologies with learners at the early childhood, childhood, middle childhood, and adolescent levels.
