Geneseo’s Online MSA provides all accounting coursework required for CPA licensure in NYS, and has been designed to meet the NYSED requirements that become effective in 2027. The program is completely online and can be completed in one or two calendar years. Admission is predicated on applicants having completed a BS degree in Management, Managerial Economics or a related field that (a) includes a minimum of six hours introduction to Financial and Managerial Accounting and (b) coursework in general business studies that meet NYSED requirements. The application process includes a transcript review that is designed to ensure that graduates meet all education requirements for CPA licensure.
