Will offer an overview of the assessment process as it applies to students with disabilities such as mental retardation, learning disabilities and/or behavior disorders. The course will emphasize the basic considerations of assessment and measurement, as well as the actual assessment instruments, techniques, and decisions, which lead to appropriate educational programming for these target groups. Students will be expected to locate relevant information (resources relating to assessment), to evaluate present assessment instruments and policies/procedures, and to develop related resources for future use.
