SOCL 317 - Gender and Law

This course will explore American, foreign, and international gender law, introducing students to feminist legal theories and methods, and to an array of substantive issues relevant to gender studies. Through discussion of case, statutory, constitutional, and treaty law, students will develop skills in analysis and argumentation, as well as understanding of social justice, and equality issues, and principles of nondiscrimination. Offered every year.

Prerequisite(s): SOCL 100  OR SOCL 102  OR SOCL 105
