GEOG 291 - Cartography Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 2 Non-Lecture: 2 This course introduces the theory and practice of mapmaking, including hands-on experience in the creation of thematic maps. Topics include collection and manipulation of geographic data, cartographic generalization, map projections, and the principles and elements of design used to produce effective maps. Offered every year.
Prerequisite(s): One introductory course in geography or permission of instructor.
