MATH 302 - Set Theory

This course will examine the Zermelo- Fraenkel axiom for set theory and discuss the relationship between set theory and classical mathematics. Other topics will be chosen from the following: ordinal and cardinal numbers, the Axiom of Choice, the consistency and independence of the continuum hypothesis, and large cardinals. Offered fall, even years.
