MATH 366 - Mathematical Foundations of Actuarial Science Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 2 Non-Lecture: 2 The purpose of this course is to develop knowledge of the fundamental tools of probability that are useful for quantitatively assessing risk. The application of these tools to problems encountered in actuarial science is emphasized. A thorough command of the supporting calculus is assumed. Additionally, a very basic knowledge of insurance and risk management is assumed. Offered every semester.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 360 and permission of the instructor.
