This course provides an interdisciplinary introduction to sustainability and environmental problems. It examines the impact of human activity on the environment through the lens of sustainability, which recognizes that to meet the present and future needs of people and the biosphere, environmental problems and their solutions must be socially equitable and economically feasible. The course evaluates sustainable solutions to major environmental issues related to food, water, energy, biodiversity, pollution and climate, among others.
