MUSC 357 - Counterpoint

A species approach to four- and five-part counterpoint. Topics may include imitative, invertible, dissonant, chromatic, and atonal counterpoint. Students will be responsible for weekly contrapuntal assignments as well as a series of short compositions including canons and inventions.
