An interdisciplinary introduction to the contemporary feminist movement and feminist scholarship within the evolving field of study in gender, sexuality, and women’s studies. Major topics might include: contemporary feminist and social justice activism, varying conceptions of feminism, intersectionality, and gender & sexuality as a system of power. Experiences and voices of women, lgbtq+ people, people of color, and others experiencing marginalization or oppression will be highlighted.
