FNCE 450 - Financial Modeling Using R

This course focuses on the use of R for financial modeling, analysis and data handling. R is a free, open-source and powerful software package that greatly extends the range of work that can be done with Excel, and which offers the ability to perform many Excel-like functions on a standalone basis. Students will learn how to download and process publicly available economic, financial and accounting data, and apply this material to the real-world solution of problems framed by theories from academic finance.
