Music Composition Minor

The minor in music composition is designed for students with some background in instrumental or vocal music and who want to explore the foundations of music composition. While grounded in classical techniques for polyphonic writing, students can choose elective course work in both classical and popular styles. Students will have their works regularly programmed on department concerts as they build a portfolio of work.
