BIOL 340 - Modeling Biological Systems Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 2 Non-Lecture: 2 Crosslisted with: MATH 340 . Computer and mathematical models are increasingly important tools used to understand complex biological systems. Under the guidance of biology and mathematics professors, students will work both individually and in groups to develop, analyze and present models of various biological systems ranging from disease models and diffusion processes to ecosystem dynamics. The course involves two hours of lectures and two hour computer-based laboratory. This course does not count as a Biology elective laboratory. Restricted to Majors and Minors. Offered every spring.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 222 and (BIOL 203 or BIOL 222 or MATH 223 )
