An in-depth study of the research methods, organizational functions, and issues of modern human resource management (HRM). Topics include the evolution and role of the modern HRM function in organizations, research methods in HRM, and the major HRM functions (e.g., job analyses, recruitment and selection, staffing, training and career development, performance appraisal, compensation and benefits). Restricted to School of Business majors. Others may seek permission from the School of Business. Offered every fall.
