SPAN 323 - Introduction to Linguistics 2021-2022 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 4 Lecture: 4 Non-Lecture: 0 Linguistics is the empirical and systematic study of language. This course is a study of phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, as well as the evolution of the different Spanish varieties (historic, regional, and social). Combines discussion of theoretical issues with linguistic analysis of Spanish. SPAN 316 is recommended to take prior to this course.
