SPED 371 - Teaching Students with Low Incidence Disabilities 2021-2022 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 3 Non-Lecture: 0 Teaching Students with Low Incidence Disabilities provides an overview of the low incidence disabilities as defined in federal and state laws and regulations. This class will focus on forms of support students with low incidence disabilities need for learning. It will include instruction and technology to both support the inclusion of students with low incidence disabilities in a variety of school and community settings, and to conduct authentic assessment of student learning. The course offers a broad understanding of students with low incidence disabilities, including how the New York Learning Standards address the needs of students in this population. The course will include a practicum component.
