SPED 372 - Teaching Students with High Incidence Disabilities 2024-2025 Catalog Year

Candidates develop and implement inclusive, culturally responsive, specially designed instruction in reading, written language, and mathematics, and high leverage practices for Pre K-12 with high-incidence disabilities based upon consideration of the impact that disabilities have on how Pre K-12 differ in approaches to learning. Candidates learn how to provide inclusive instructional opportunities and supports adapted to strengths and needs of students all grades (levels Pre K-12), drawing on knowledge of the discipline, students, community, and curriculum goal(s). Candidates must receive a letter grade of C- or higher to move to Block VI. Candidates will be allowed one retake of this course due to failure or withdrawal.
