ECED 331 - Student Teaching - Primary 2022-2023 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 7.5 Lecture: 7.5 Non-Lecture: 0 Full-time student teaching at the primary level (grades 1-2 for Early Childhood Education) in an affiliated school. Student teaching is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to develop and refine skills and understandings of the teaching-learning process with primary-level children. A member of the college faculty, working cooperatively with the teaching and administrative staff of the school, assists, observes, supervises, and evaluates each student. Students become involved in periodic seminars focusing upon pedagogical content and methodology, assessment of student learning, parent communication, development of a professional portfolio, and topics related to broad concerns of professionals in education. (To repeat this course requires the permission of, and fulfilling conditions set by, the Director of Field Experiences.)
Prerequisite(s):
ECED 355 and ECED 353 and ECED 354 and ECED 326 .
Students must earn at least a C- in all pre-requisite courses.
Minimum GPA 2.75 Offered: Every Semester
