WRTG 101 - English Language and Culture I 2022-2023 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 3 Non-Lecture: 0 Designed for the non-native speaker of Standard English, this course examines basic phonology and syntax in both theory and practice. These features are complemented by studies of semantics and pragmatics which offer insight into the cultural implications of language. Contrasts among various languages will further develop students’ knowledge and application of the fundamental properties of English.
