PLSC 442 - Human Rights in a Global Perspective 2022-2023 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 3 Non-Lecture: 0 A study of the philosophical, cultural and theoretical bases of human rights institutions, practices, problems, and problems at the international and domestic levels with special focus on the Third World. The course will define and analyze the causes of human rights violations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and assess the efficacy of such international and regional organizations as the United Nations, the Organization of American States, and the Organization of African Unity in protecting and promoting these rights.
