PLSC 430 - War and Peace in the Middle East 2022-2023 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 3 Non-Lecture: 0 The goal of this course is to analyze the underlying causes and consequences of major conflicts in the Middle East. The first part introduces the main theoretical perspectives on conflicts in the Middle East. The second part examines the conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Israel-Palestine. The third part examines the role of regional organizations in conflict resolution in the Middle East.
