PLSC 417 - Identity & Politics in the United States 2022-2023 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 3 Lecture: 3 Non-Lecture: 0 This course will investigate the ways in which identity influences politics and political behavior in the context of the United States. For example, we will explore identity through an intersectional lens of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religion, among other identities. We will analyze the influence of identity on political behavior in both the broader electorate and of elected officials in the United States.
Prerequisite(s): PLSC 110 - S/U/American Politics or Permission of Instructor Graded: Normal
