COMN 454 - Media Ethics 2022-2023 Catalog Year
Credit(s): 4 Lecture: 4 Non-Lecture: 0 In this course, students will learn foundational theories of ethics and apply them to a variety of mass media ethical dilemmas. We will explore the similarities and differences among ethical issues in areas such as news, entertainment, public relations, advertising, and online communication. Students will develop and demonstrate their critical understanding of media ethics by applying their learned knowledge to a specific media ethics case. By the end of the course, students should know how to make and effectively communicate ethical media choices.
